Purpose
Access to appropriate housing is a fundamental precursor to participants exercising choice and control over their supports.
To resolve the issue of young people living in aged care, young people with disability must know about the housing and support options that are available to them, relevant sector professionals must know how to best support them and the housing options that meet their needs must be built.
The guides and tools provide a structure and some suggestions for how to help participants to explain their housing journey, their needs and their preferences to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
