Purpose
To explain the NDIS principles including the NDIS access requirements to mental health professionals. This guide will explain the access process and the information the NDIA needs to make a decision on eligibility which aligns to section 24 of the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013 (NDIS Act). The guide explains how to communicate evidence of disability, impairment and functional impacts attributable to a mental health condition, this includes visual representations and the Life Skills Profile-16.
