Purpose
Hoped that these capabilities will be adopted to meet the specific needs of people with intellectual disability and co-occurring mental health issues by using this Framework to: − Establish and reinforce underlying principles for good service design and practice; − Identify the attributes, skills and knowledge required to improve professional Practice; − Adapt a core set of capabilities that can be used to meet service standards; and − Identify the legal requirements that ensure provision of inclusive and accessible services.
